Press Release: Community Alive Falmouth 2011

This Saturday 21st May 10:00 to 4:00 The Poly will be ‘Alive’ with the sounds of music and creativity as Community Alive Falmouth holds its second annual celebration.

The Poly is a perfect venue for showcasing and discovering information about the huge variety of organisations here in Falmouth but that isn’t all...

Arts for Health will help you to think about what Falmouth has to offer you and your family and your ideas will help to make a beautiful artwork.

Young people, 8-15 years, are invited to free theatre workshops led by The Poly team. A work for performance will be created by those taking part. Contact The Poly on 01326 319461 to book your place.

Local Radio, Source FM will present the music: running all their Saturday programmes live from The Poly.

Charter 350 will have their first public activity inviting you to help create the new Charter for Falmouth.

“We are really excited about Community Alive at The Poly this year” said Jane Matthews a member of the CAF team. “It will be buzzing with ideas and we will have a real opportunity to gather and record information about all the groups and organisations that help to make Falmouth the exciting and supportive town that it is. The website www.falmouthalive.org.uk is aiming to have details on all local activities so please come and tell us what you know."

For the Community: By the Community

Community Alive Falmouth: We are an informal association of organisations, clubs and groups brought together to exchange ideas, share resources, support each other and generally to celebrate being part of Falmouth's Community. Community groups and projects in and around Falmouth are most welcome to join us and are encouraged to create their own mini-websites on www.falmouthalive.org.uk
