Then on Thursday 23 June HAYSEED DIXIE, the genuine mountain/bluegrass band, play rock classics in their unique hillbilly way. Deep in the heart of Appalachia, the boys grew up playing the traditional music of their forefathers. The story goes that one day, they found some old black vinyl records in a crashed car which they listened to on an old 78 rpm gramophone. They all agreed it was some mighty fine country music and set about learning the songs... The records were by the band AC/DC and the boys recorded an album of the songs in their own mountain/ bluegrass style - with fiddle, mandolin, banjo and such. Since then they have recorded songs from the Kiss catalogue and in 2003 released Kiss My Grass - A Hillbilly Tribute to Kiss. 2004 saw the release of Let There Be Rockgrass.
