Pete Allen makes a welcome return to the region and brings his All Star band to the Princess Pavilion on Saturday 7 May...

The show includes an entertaining exciting mix of happy Dixieland/New Orleans jazz and songs with musical tributes to Louis Armstrong – Sidney Bechet – Thomas ‘Fats’ Waller and many more. It also promises to take you back and relive the sounds of the British Trad days of the fifties and early sixties around the time Acker Bilk and Kenny Ball were topping the charts.

Pete is described as our country’s most exciting jazz clarinettist. His band constantly tours the UK and abroad playing endless successful concerts and festivals. Over the years the band has also featured on many TV and Radio shows and released over forty albums to date. It’s no wonder that Pete was awarded honorary citizenship of New Orleans for his services to music.
