Julian Marley to play the Princess Pavilion on 2005 UK Tour

Julian Marley has been around music all his life. Born in London in 1975, he has been blessed both by his father's great talent and legacy and by the unique perspective that comes with an upbringing in a multicultural community...

Since recording his first song at age five at the Marley family home in Kingston, Julian has become a skillful, self-taught musician, mastering the bass, drums, guitar and keyboards.

In 1989 he released his first album, titled ‘Uprising’, also the name of his band. Julian moved to Jamaica in 1992 to join the Melody Makers and also worked with such reggae veterans as Aston ‘Family Man’ Barrett, Earl ‘Wire’ Lindo, Tyrone Downie and Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith.

His sound, an organic fusion of rootical bass reggae, hard, driving anthems and jazz & samba-tinged ska clearly reflects his Marley family roots and heritage but is still his own testament.

Catch this young dread on Wednesday 11th May at the Princess Pavilion, Falmouth @ 8.30pm. Tickets £14, from the box office on 01326 211222 (9am-1pm).
