The Doors were a celebration of all that was wild, weird and wonderful about 60ís L.A. They sang of bars, women and wine and they were definitely unique consisting of; a combined organ and bass player, giving them a very distinctive 60ís sound, a jazz drummer who added bossa nova beats, a blues guitarist with a gift for a catchy tune and a charismatic, talented and iconic front man.
Doors Alive, the UKís premier tribute band to the Doors, recreate the look, sounds and 60ís vibe of a classic Doors performance. The energetic show is delivered with style and professionalism and is the ultimate Doors experience ranging from a repertoire of classics such as When The Music's Over and L.A.Woman, to The End and Light My Fire. There are a few lesser-known album tracks slipped in here and there, but whether youíre a die-hard Doors fan or just someone who enjoys the music, thereís something in the show for everyone.
It's been 33 years since Jim Morrisonís death but Doors Alive with their stunning live show and great musicianship keep the music of the Doors definitely 'alive'. The band: Rich as Jim Morrison, praised for his great voice, looks and similar mannerisms to Jim. Cristian on organ/bass with almost note perfect performances of Ray Manzarek using the same vintage equipment. Jason on guitar reproduces the fuzzy distorted sound used by Robbie Krieger on a Gibson SG guitar and Buzz on drums who has an uncanny knack of reproducing John Densmoreís beats.
