A good weekend

Several good bands over the weekend starting at the Green Fair on the Moor on Saturday.

I just missed Matt Scott who is always good value with his classical guitar. Dave Bacon was there with his hurdy-gurdy - where would Falmouth be without his selfless contribution to public entertainment? The Three Daft Monkeys rounded things off with an excellent set - their brand of souped up folk was just the ticket.

The same evening I went to The Waterfront for The Shirts whom I haven't heard for a while (my loss). They just keep getting better and it was good to hear young Jake Jones with some vocals to add to Paul Anthony's usual frontmanship.

Finally, on Monday at the S&G, Monty Ray was guesting and it was good to hear Robbie depping on drums and Paul Harris came from Plymouth to show us some fine keyboard work in lieu of Max.
