Events Following the success of last year's inaugural event, this Saturday February 26th sees the second such occasion taking place...

As before, the venue will be the Skittle Alley of The Blue Anchor public house here in Helston. Proceedings get under way from 8pm.

The beneficiary of the evening is Helston's own Shelterbox charity, and to that end all the featured artistes will be giving their services for free. Admission is free, all those attending can make donations of any amount to Shelterbox, collection facilities will be provided.

Artistes so far confirmed to perform include The Black Rock Jazz Band, Steve "Me And The Devil" Mole, The Dave Sugarbeet Allsorts, and Mo George who will be performing a special set drawn from the back catalogue of Bessie Smith. Other surprise guest musicians will be taking part as well.

Last year's event raised a total of 347.85. We are hoping very much that, even in a financial situation such as we see today, we can at least match last year's total and maybe even beat it.
