Next Friday July 16th sees a concert at the Tolmen Centre Constantine featuring Burundi's musical ambassador Steven Sogo...

Only recently are Burundi's finest ethnic musicians getting visas and funding to tour in the West and this is the first gig on a tour extending to Womad and MOMO festivals for Steve and his band Hope Street.

Blending all that is best in African folk music with western elements and styles, this band promise a new angle on World Music - and one which is born out of suffering in a war torn country.
