Träd, Gräs Och Stenar (translating to Trees, Grass and Stones) formed in Sweden in 1969, from the ashes of psychedelic rockers International Harvester and Pärson Sound...
In 1970 they released their debut but incredibly this year marks their first UK tour, although they did play ATP back in 2004 at the request of Stephen Malkmus. They toured the US in 2004 with No Neck Blues Band and have shared the stage with everyone from Jim O’Rourke to Makoto Kawabata of Acid Mothers Temple.
Support set from the wonderful Andrew Hockey, a guitar player and singer of the highest calibre who should be counted amongst the countries best folk musicians.
"In 1970, they arranged, and performed at, the legendary Swedish Gardes-Festivals that pioneered the Swedish alternative music movement. Today, Träd Gräs och Stenar create their own contemporary music, even if they have been compared to Krautrockers like Can and Faust, internationally. Rhythmic, and heart-pounding for sure -- but at the same time, peculiarly Swedish, with their roots in the mold and soil, and with branches that reach high up into the clear air."
